Is the stand and top cap made from real wood?

Yes! The Lady Valet stand and matching top cap are both made from European sourced timber and expertly finished in an antique walnut lacquer to protect the wood.

Does this product include a hem marker?

Our standard attachable hem markers are not compatible with wooden stands and as such, this product does not include a hem marker.

You can purchase a freestanding chalk hem marker from our accessories section if you require this functionality.

Lovely quality and very sturdy I bought this dressmaker’s mannequin for my granddaughter who is learning to make clothes from her own designs and to alter vintage designer clothes so that she can wear them. It has surpassed my expectations as far as the quality goes. It is very sturdy and stable. The wooden stand is so much nicer than the metal ones and the polycotton covering is substantial and will wear well. My granddaughter is thrilled with it and feels that she has something that will last her for many years. It is excellent value for money.

Fantastic. This is the crème de la crème of adjustable dummies. It looks really good and is functional. It does what it says it does. Make sure you check the sizing before buying and get the one you need. The fabric is lovely, the wooden stand is beautiful and it is easy to adjust. Very happy.

Starts at UK size 16 The Adjustable Lady Valet size 20-26 starts at a Uk commercial size 16 (you can see the fit on the Barbour jacket pictured for size/fit reference). This is at its smallest size at the shortest torso.It’s very sturdy.Easy to put togetherCan be pinned only on a slant.Easy to alter the sizeNot perfect replica of my body shape but love that it starts at a short torso and the height is easily adjusted.You turn the knob on the neck to alter the width of the neck.Over all I’m very pleased with my purchase.
